Nobeo GmbH is a provider of broadcast facilities and technical services to television broadcasters and film companies. The company’s premises (45000 sqm) are located in the city of Hürth only a stone’s throw away from Cologne, Germany. There nobeo operates 9 studios, of which Studio 8 is the biggest one (1400 sqm).
The company was originally founded in 1993 as NOB Deutschland GmbH and enjoys excellent reputation for delivering light entertainment programmes and magazines.
Furthermore nobeo has special expertise in producing reality shows. Since the ground-breaking “Big Brother” in 1999 nobeo produced a great number of reality shows and became Germany’s market leader in this sector of TV-production.
Postproduction is another important domain of nobeo. The company operates more than 30 sets for video and audio editing.
Besides studio- and postproduction OB projects become more and more important for nobeo. During the last years the company delivered major show and music events. In 2005 nobeo was among the first in Germany doing High Definition outside broadcasts. Since 1999 nobeo holds a stake in TV-Unit GmbH, Weil im Schönbuch (Stuttgart, Germany). This company operates OB Trucks, SNG’s and Mobile Editing Units. nobeo 1, the first HD OB Truck of nobeo, will be available from September 2008.
In 2007 nobeo acquired FilmPartners Deutschland GmbH, Cologne, a company that provides Camera Crews (ENG/EFP) and postproduction facilities (www.filmpartners.de).
