The challenge was a bit crazy. Jean-Marc Momerck set himself the target, at the age of 37, of becoming the world heavyweight champion. To challenge the holder of the title, he had to get past the obstacle of Ibragimov, which he has now done!
Almost a year after his return to the ring and his joining the heavyweights, Jean-Marc Mormeck had his third match on Thursday 2nd December against the Uzbek Timur Ibragimov (7th in the world), with two international titles at stake – WBA and NABA. A “world semi-final” for which Euro Media Sports used its OBtruck XL4 (OBtruck 24) and 8 cameras (including 1 HF, 1 slow-motion and one super-slow motion camera) on behalf of Orange.
“It’s more than a fight for me. It is THE fight which will allow me to achieve my original aim. I have dreamt of the heavyweight title since I started out – I have to try. My American experience taught me that it is possible. And the moment came on Thursday.” Jean-Marc Mormeck
