The families of Dutch military serving abroad during the holiday season were recently treated to a varied entertainment programme from MAX Mission, a collaboration between home front organizations from the Ministry of Defence and the Dutch broadcaster MAX.
The show included performances by many Dutch artists, and was professionally recorded and directed by United.
Meanwhile, in portable cabins, ENGs were recording personal greetings from family members to send to 'their' servicemen abroad.
These greetings – along with those from Dutch celebrities, the Prime Minister and the commander of the armed forces, together with a number of songs from the show – were burned onto DVDs by United Postproduction so that a personal Christmas message could be sent to every member of the Dutch military serving abroad.
Postproduction is incorporating these recordings into Dutch TV shows to be broadcast at Christmas.
A compilation of the video messages will also be televised during the holiday season.
