The official inauguration of the Cité du Cinéma took place on Friday 21st September. This is a new centre dedicated to cinema, the only such place in France, bringing together all of the trades within the profession from script writing to post production, from set creation to filming, all within one site measuring 62,000m².
The site has an extensive range of facilities, amongst which are the Paris Studios: 9 stages for filming, workshops for the fabrication of set designs and offices.
For France, the top producer of films in Europe, this new cinematic complex represents an exceptional site similar to the Hollywood studios in the USA or the Cinecitta studios in Italy.
After the launch of the Lendit Studios at the end of 2010, which offer 6 of some of the most modern television sets in Europe, Euro Media France, alongside EuropaCorp, Frontline and Quinta Communications, is taking part in this new project for the modernisation of the industry, for cinema/fiction, in the heart of the region of culture and creation.
Via Transpamedia, the productions installed in the Paris studios will have easy access to rental equipment, thanks to a storage of lighting and camera equipment located opposite the sets. Transpamedia is offering a comprehensive range of equipment for filming; Transpacam for shooting; Transpalux for lighting and power; Transpagrip for machinery and technical vehicles.
