Two weeks ago in Kortrijk the launch of the ‘Beeldbank voor steden en gemeenten’ (the image database for cities and communities) was shown to the press! Videohouse, together wit Zeticon, is the supplier.
The cities of Ghent, Bruges, Kortrijk and Mechelen started this project in collaboration with Digipolis for the purchase of an advanced Digital Media Asset Management platform.
The consortium Zeticon – Videohouse supplies this platform.
This image date base should allow them to manage and make public the hundreds of thousands of images and multimedia files available.
Last Friday, September 21, the project was launched so from now on the local administrations can file their multimedia material in this database and these pictures, videos and film fragments can be consulted super-fast.
