The Netherlands is under the spell of the popular television programme Famer Seeks Wife.
Since the first series of the program began in 2004, ratings have been huge. In Famer Seeks Wife, single farmers present themselves to the Dutch bachelors in the hope of finding the love of their lives. In response to letters which they write, Dutch women can be invited to go on a date with their favourite farmer and, at a later stage, even to stay overnight at the farm.
This popular series, from producer Blue Circle, has been an entirely United production for years. United’s ENG crews are on top of it , with their HD cameras, as the farmers search for their potential partners with the help of presenter Yvon Jaspers. Post production provides both audio and video editing. Even the videos on the internet are provided by United.
This season, Farmer Seeks Wife is heading over the border. The farms of Dutch farmers – male and female – in Tanzania, France, Canada, Denmark and Bonaire – provide beautiful images.
