The Dutch broadcasting company TROS tours Holland each summer with their event “TROS muziekfeesten op het plein”.
This TROS music festival formula is effective in its simplicity: a large tent, a selection of famous artists and an enthusiastic audience on a large square. United is responsible for the registration of this event already for a number of years.
On the day prior to the registration, our colleagues of Hollandse Handen, the set building department of United, take the enormous tent out of the warehouse.
They erect this on the assigned location.
The next day the OB is installed, the cables are laid and the seven camera’s, including the Supertechno50 crane and Towercam elite are connected. Thirty past seven at night the part starts with about fifty artist who sing two to four songs each.
Two ENG teams make close up shots of the audience. At about thirty past eleven the registration draws to an end and everything is moved out. Each event provides sufficient material for two broadcast episodes.
