Each year in the Netherlands the army opens up one of its barracks to demonstrate to the public their various units and their operational skills at home and abroad. The Army Days use a reoccurring formula consisting of shows, demonstrations and lots of hands-on activities for the visitors. United Broadcast Facilities is the facilitating partner for the Army Days and this year the event was even broadcasted on their own digital television channel!

Formula 1 is in full swing again. This year the Formula 1 season runs from mid March to mid November and consists of a series of Grand Prix races that are held in different countries. A week before the start of the World Cup in South Africa, ProSieben broadcast several ‘specials’. The first was Stefan Raab’s World Cup before the World Cup – the "TV total Car Ball World Cup 2010". The programme was broadcast live on June 4th at 20.15 and featured 8 nations in two groups of 4 teams competing for the cup at the LANXESS arena in Cologne.
Celebrities included Ailton (Brazil), Harry Wijnvoord (Netherlands), Giovianni Zarella (Italy), Joey Kelly (Ireland), Daniel Aminati (Ghana) who along with many others started their cars in front of 15,000 fans.

Nobeo broadcasts live "TV total WOK WORLD CUP 2010"

Independent broadcaster ProSieben presented the final major winter sports highlight of the year where prominent ‘drivers’ raced their Chinese woks to win the world title. The World Cup was held on the bobsleigh run in Oberhof, Thuringia for the very first time. Taking part were Stefan Raab, the titleholder Georg Hackl, Joey Kelly, the race driver Timo Scheider, Ex-Bobsleigh World Champion Christoph Langen and many more. ProSieben aired the qualifier live at 22.15 on March 19th.

A French client wanted to make a HD recording in the Netherlands without immediately having to put a complete convoy on the road. He turned to SFP, one of United’s French sister companies, and not much later it was all arranged with our Cinevideogroup, USS and ENG units getting the job done. On February 27th, 2010 German public broadcaster ZDF presented the 187th issue of the show "Wanna bet..?", this time live from the Exhibition Hall in Erfurt. For one bet that took place in Aldenhoven near the city of Aachen heavy equipment was used. Hosts Thomas Gottschalk and Michelle Hunziker presented the contestants Klemens Renschen (43) and Siegfried Niemöller (42) from Cloppenburg.

The two wanted to swap excavators from one truck tender to another whilst driving approximately 60 kilometres an hour in parallel formation within one minute! Kevin Costner was the “godparent” of this bet. He guessed that the team ...

Defending champion Stefan Everts challenged last Saturday, 17 April, the Spanish rally driver Carlos Sainz in the second edition of the Red Bull Motorclash. This thrilling race took place at the Circuit Carrières du Hainaut in Soignies.

Last year Stefan Everts won the race against Sébastien Loeb on the Wall of Geraardsbergen, but this year, he lost against the Spanish rally driver ‘El Matador’: Carlos Sainz (the winner of the Dakar Rally 2010).

10 Years of Austria’s "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" celebrated with Special Live Editions

ORF 1 – the Austrian state broadcaster celebrated 10 years and 650 editions of “Die Millionenshow” with two special live programmes broadcast from Studio 7 of Euro Media Group’s German subsidiary - nobeo. On Friday 12th and 19th March, host Armin Assinger and ten contestants played a special version of the quiz which featured an audience joker & interactive play from the live audience and the viewing public. With a little luck and a lot of knowledge the viewers had the opportunity to win 5,000 to 15,000 euros.
