Olympic Victory for CTV & Done and Dusted

Live events specialist Done and Dusted is to be the first indie in the history of the Olympic Games to produce coverage of the opening and closing ceremonies. The London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games (Locog) awarded the contract after a month-long pitch after the tender which included six other bidders.

Done and Dusted will produce the coverage of the events, which are being created by Trainspotting and Slumdog Millionaire director Danny Boyle, in partnership with outside broadcast specialist CTV and Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS).

Touchdown for EMF

For the first time, EMF is filming the American football final at the Charléty stadium on 23rd June.
Broadcast on BeInSport 1, this match was also the first collaboration between Euro Media France and this new channel, as well as with the FFFA (French Federation of American Football). EMF continues to work with emerging federations in order to help them promote their disciplines (such as Polo, which EMF will cover in September) and also contributes to their growing media coverage in France.

A classic match that wasn’t that classic took place this Sunday as Canal+ devoted 11 hours of airtime to the match!
“Never seen before for a League 1 match” and “exceptional technical resources” highlighted the channel in its press release.  
In order to pull out all the stops and to provide the best equipment possible, Canal+, of course, teamed up with the leader in audiovisual services, Euro Media France!

From the start of broadcast (at 5pm) to the end of broadcast (at 3am), 2 EMF teams (130 people) and 4 directors were in action to cover this television marathon ...

Football: a Greek tragedy in 3D

At the peak of the 25th day of the Greek football championships, Euro Media France was commissioned by ABC productions to direct the Panathinaïkos versus Olympiakos match in 3D for broadcast on Nova sports.

In the Athens Olympic Stadium, a team of 7 technicians set up the equipment with 5 3D cameras, 4 Microfilm rigs, 1 side by side rig, 5 Sony MPE 200 image processors accompanied by the quality control software (Sony quality checker) and a Black Magic VC100 video processor for the conversion of 2D images into 3D.

For the 39th year, the Ahoy in Rotterdam is organising the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament, to be held from February 13 to 19 2012.

The tournament is not only widely recognised as the biggest and most popular indoor men’s tennis tournament in the world (and has been since 1974), but it is also the Netherlands’ most important client marketing event.

S-TV joins Euro Media France and to a larger extent the Euro Media Group at the end of 2011.

3Zero2 takes up residence in Turin

Having won the contract for the rebroadcasting of the Italian football championships “the Calcio” last year, 3Zero2 has just clinched the deal for providing technical equipment for Juventus home games.
 As such, the OB truck XL3 will be regularly based in Turin in the all new Stadio delle Alpi, renamed the “Juventus Arena”.
This new stadium means a great improvement in visibility for all spectators, notably due to the removal of the athletics track; the Juventus Arena is also the first eco-stadium in the world.

In the lead in their group, France were back on the road for more Euro 2012 qualifiers, and it was Euro Media France’s XXL1 truck that made the journey to cover the Blues in action against Albania and Romania.
In Tirana, Jean-Charles Vankerkoven was in charge of sending TF1’s exclusive signal for Keneo.
Fifteen cameras covered what turned out to be a great night of football, with Laurent Blanc’s team notching up a win over the Albanians, and 6.2 million fans (or a 29% overall audience share) watching on TF1.
